Invisible Chains: From Domestic Violence to Coercive Control

Recorded on March 1st, 2023.

This webinar, intended for survivors, advocates, and allies, covers the following:

  1. The tactics of coercive control in intimate relationships.
  2. How coercive control shapes a victim/survivor’s behavior.
  3. How to improve your ability to detect and intervene in situations of coercive control and intimate partner abuse.
  4. How changes in the law can better protect women and children.
  5. How you can get involved.

Massachusetts has introduced two bills this session (HD 1844 and SD 1975) that would allow coercive control to be considered as a form of domestic abuse.
